Accessibility Statement

Acadia Marketing LLC

1. Our Commitment

Acadia Marketing LLC, a Maine limited liability company, is committed to making the Sites usable by as many people as reasonably possible, including people who use assistive technology such as screen readers, magnification software, voice control, switch devices or keyboard-only navigation. We treat accessibility as an ongoing part of how we design, build, host and maintain the Sites.

This Accessibility Statement describes the approach we take, the standards we refer to, and how you can tell us about a problem or ask for information in another format.

2. Scope

This statement applies to acadiamarketingmaine.com and to any page, subdomain or transfer page that Acadia Marketing LLC operates or issues to clients (collectively, the "Sites"). It covers pages we publish and the interactive features on them, including contact forms, navigation menus and access-code entry fields on transfer pages.

This statement does not extend to websites operated by third parties that may be linked from the Sites, or to third-party tools embedded in a page, which are governed by the practices of their respective providers. Where a client's own website is hosted by us, hosting continues under the existing agreements, and the content and design of that website remain subject to those agreements.

3. Standards We Reference

In designing and reviewing the Sites, we refer generally to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, commonly known as WCAG, as a benchmark for good practice. Those guidelines are organized around four principles: content should be perceivable, operable, understandable and robust.

In practice, we aim to follow measures such as the following:

  • Providing text alternatives for meaningful images and graphics.
  • Using headings, lists and landmarks so that page structure can be understood by assistive technology.
  • Supporting keyboard navigation, with a visible indication of which element has focus.
  • Choosing text and background colors that provide readable contrast.
  • Allowing text to be resized and pages to adapt to different screen sizes and orientations.
  • Labeling form fields and presenting error messages in plain language.
  • Avoiding content that flashes in a manner that could trigger seizures.

References to these guidelines describe our general approach. They are not a representation that every page of the Sites conforms to any particular standard or level at all times.

4. Ongoing Work

We review our templates, components and content from time to time and correct accessibility issues as we identify them. Because the Sites include content and features that change, and because some elements are supplied by third parties, certain pages or functions may not be fully accessible. We work to address such items as we become aware of them.

5. How to Report an Accessibility Problem

If you encounter a barrier on any of the Sites, or if you cannot access some content or a feature, please let us know. You may contact us in any of the following ways:

  • Email: info@acadiamarketingmaine.com
  • Phone: (207) 716-9079
  • Mail: Acadia Marketing LLC, 218 Pond Road, Wilton, ME 04294

To help us understand the issue, please include, where you can:

  • The address of the page or the name of the feature involved.
  • A description of the problem and what you were trying to do.
  • The browser, device and any assistive technology you were using.
  • Your preferred way for us to reply to you.

We review each report and reply using the contact method you provide. Please do not include access codes, transfer codes or other confidential credentials in a report.

6. Alternative Formats and Assistance

If you are unable to use any part of the Sites, you may ask us for the information or service in another way. On request, we will make reasonable efforts to provide content in an alternative format, such as plain text, a large-print document or an accessible electronic document, or to assist you by telephone or email.

Where a transfer page issued to a designated recipient is difficult to use with assistive technology, contact us and we will make reasonable efforts to arrange another means of delivering the information, files or codes the page contains. Any alternative delivery remains subject to the same confidentiality and security practices that apply to the transfer page itself, including verification that the request comes from the designated recipient or a party the designated recipient authorizes.

7. Security Logging and Accessibility

Transfer pages are protected by an access code, and visits and downloads are logged with date, time, IP address and browser for security. This logging does not depend on any assistive technology and is not used to single out users on the basis of disability. If an access-code field or download function does not work with your assistive technology, please report it as described above so that we can assist.

8. Third-Party Content

Some features of the Sites, such as embedded maps, scheduling tools, video players or analytics, may be provided by third parties. We do not control the accessibility of those tools, but we consider accessibility when choosing them and may consider reasonable alternatives where a third-party feature creates a barrier.

9. Limitations

We work to improve the accessibility of the Sites, but we do not warrant that the Sites will be free of barriers, uninterrupted or suitable for every assistive technology, browser or device. Nothing in this statement creates any contractual right or obligation beyond those set out in the agreements between Acadia Marketing LLC and its clients and in our other published terms and policies.

10. Governing Law

This Accessibility Statement is governed by the laws of the State of Maine. Any dispute relating to it will be brought in the courts located in Cumberland County, Maine.

11. Notices and Changes

We may update this statement from time to time to reflect changes to the Sites or to our practices. The version posted on the Sites is the version in effect. Questions about this statement may be sent to Acadia Marketing LLC at info@acadiamarketingmaine.com.
